Cleaning Prices in the Hamptons

An honest answer to the question everyone asks first — and why a price list would do you no favors.

What does house cleaning cost out here?

The truthful answer is that it depends — and not in the evasive way companies usually mean when they say that. Homes in the Hamptons range from small village cottages to estate-scale properties with guest houses and a great deal of glass. The same house, cleaned every two weeks, is a completely different job from the same house opened up after standing closed all winter.

We could publish a "from $X" figure. Most cleaning companies do. But it would be wrong for almost everyone reading it, and we would end up revising it the moment we saw your home — which helps nobody and starts the relationship with a number you cannot rely on.

So instead we will come and look, at no cost. We walk the property with you, listen to what you actually want, and give you a firm, written quote. If it is not right for you, you owe us nothing.

What actually drives the price

Four things decide what a clean costs. Understanding them tells you far more than a headline rate would.

The size of the home

The single biggest factor. Bedrooms and bathrooms matter more than square footage — bathrooms and kitchens are the slowest rooms to clean properly, so two homes of the same size can be very different jobs.

Its current condition

A home that has been cleaned regularly takes far less time than one that has stood closed for a season, finished a renovation, or has not had a thorough clean in a year. This is why a first visit is often a deep clean.

How often we come

Recurring cleaning costs less per visit than a one-off, because the home never gets far from where we left it. Weekly, biweekly and monthly schedules are all priced differently.

What you actually want done

A standard clean, a deep clean, interior and exterior windows, inside the oven and refrigerator, laundry, a move-out clean, or staff for an event are all different pieces of work. You only pay for what you ask for.

Questions

Pricing questions, answered

What people ask us before they book.

How much does house cleaning cost in the Hamptons?
There is no single honest answer, which is exactly why we do not publish a price list. Homes out here run from village cottages to estate-scale properties, and the same house can be a two-hour job or a two-day one depending on its condition. What we can promise is a free walk-through and a firm, written quote before you commit to anything.
Why don’t you list your prices online?
Because any number we published would be wrong for most of the people reading it. A price list that says "from $X" tells you almost nothing about what your home will actually cost, and we would rather quote you accurately than advertise a figure we then have to walk back once we see the property.
Is the estimate really free?
Yes. We will come to your home, look at it properly, talk through what you want, and give you a quote — at no cost and with no obligation to book. If we are not the right fit, that is a perfectly fine outcome.
Is recurring cleaning cheaper than a one-off?
Per visit, yes. A home on a regular schedule never drifts far from clean, so each visit takes less time than starting from scratch. One-off and first-time cleans are usually deep cleans, which are more involved and priced accordingly.
Do I need a deep clean before starting a regular schedule?
Usually, yes — and any cleaner who tells you otherwise is likely cutting corners. The first visit brings the home up to a standard that regular cleaning can then maintain. Once that is done, ongoing visits are quicker and cost less.
Do you bring your own supplies and equipment?
Yes, everything is included — we arrive with our own products and equipment. If you would prefer eco-friendly or non-toxic products, or you have particular products you want used on specific surfaces, just tell us.
Are you insured and bonded?
Yes, fully. Insurance covers damage or injury; bonding protects you financially in the event of theft. Every member of our team is also background-checked. You are letting people into your home, and you should never have to take that on trust.
What is your cancellation policy?
Let us know as far ahead as you reasonably can and we will simply reschedule. We would always rather move a visit than have you feel locked into a time that no longer works.
