What is included in a move-out clean?
Everything a deep clean includes, plus the things that only matter when the property is empty: inside every cabinet, closet, drawer and storage space, inside the oven and refrigerator, and every surface the furniture was hiding. The standard we work to is move-in condition — not "tidy", but genuinely ready for the next occupant.
Will a move-out clean help me get my security deposit back?
It removes the most common reason landlords give for withholding one. Under New York’s General Obligations Law § 7-108, a landlord must give you an itemized statement within fourteen days of you vacating — and if they fail to, they forfeit the right to retain any part of your deposit. They also cannot deduct for ordinary wear and tear. What they can deduct for is cleaning. A dirty oven and stovetop is the classic charge, and it is entirely avoidable.
How is a move-out clean different from a deep clean?
A deep clean is done around your furniture and your life. A move-out clean is done in an empty property, so it reaches everything — inside the cabinets, behind where the sofa stood, the whole floor rather than the visible parts of it.
When should I book a move-out clean?
Once the property is empty, and before the final walk-through or handover. Book it as far in advance as you can — moving dates cluster at the end of the month, and so does demand.
Do you also clean before someone moves in?
Yes. A move-in clean means you start in a home that has genuinely been cleaned rather than one that merely looks cleared out — which matters a good deal more once you know what was there before you.
Do you handle rental turnovers?
Yes. Note that both Southampton and East Hampton enforce a minimum rental term of roughly two weeks, so turnovers out here are less frequent than people expect but far more thorough — the property needs a genuine reset between tenancies, not a light tidy.
